JLab Audio is a headphone brand in the United States, established in 2005, its sports headphone products are more favored by foreign users, and TWS headphone sales rank among the top ten in the world.
I have previously disassembled a JLab Epic Air true wireless sports headset . Its charging box design is unique. The power cord can be plugged into one side of the shell. It is an oval mobile power supply; the headset comes with ear hooks. , While ensuring the stability of wearing, it can also double as a Bluetooth antenna to improve the strength of sending and receiving Bluetooth signals.
Today I want to disassemble the JLab Go Air true wireless sports headset, which is a relatively new generation product of the brand. The charging box is still designed with its own charging cable. The headset supports Bluetooth 5.0, supports touch, and no APP is required. Three kinds of equalizer sound effects can be switched. Let's take a look at its internal structure through our detailed disassembly~
1. JLab Go Air true wireless sports headphones out of the box
The packaging box is the brand’s iconic blue, with a rendering of the headset on the front. The product name is "JLab Go Air True Wireless Earphone". The headset + charging box can provide more than 20 hours of battery life. There are three product features at the bottom: small size design , Binaural connection, support touch.
The back of the box details the four major features of the product: long battery life, miniaturized design, binaural connection, and three types of equalizer sound effects can be switched.
On the side of the box, the characteristics of the three equalizer sound effects are introduced, and the charging cable that comes with the charging box is shown below.

The charging box has no cover, and the JLab brand logo is on the side. The middle area is a flat surface, which is higher than the surrounding area.
The bottom of the charging box is a built-in charging cable, which makes charging more convenient. There is a JLab brand logo on the cable.
The charging cable can be directly plugged into the device with the USB-A power supply interface to charge the built-in battery of the charging box.

My love audio network uses ChargerLAB POWER-Z KT001 portable power tester to perform wired charging test on JLab Go Air, and the charging power is about 1.7W.

2. JLab Go Air true wireless sports earphones.
After disassembling the charging box and unpacking the above, we have got a preliminary impression of the appearance of JLab Go Air true wireless sports earphones. There is no cover and comes with a charging cable, which continues the unique brand. The product style, let’s take a look at the internal circuit structure of the charging box~
Pry open the charging cockpit and fix it with several different buckles; inside the charging cockpit is the motherboard and battery.
Inside the charging cable, the wire is knotted and fixed.
The soft-packed battery in the charging box is fixed on the main board with double-sided tape, and there are two fixing screws on the main board.
Remove the screw, you can see the round magnet inside the charging cockpit, used to attract and fix the headset.
The internal circuit of the charging box is displayed. The charging cable that comes with the charging box inputs current and charges the built-in battery after passing through the step-down circuit. In addition to the positive and negative wires, the charging box battery also has a white wire connected to the NTC thermistor on the protection board.
There is a patch reset fuse on the back of the solder joints of the positive and negative wires of the charging cable.

Before the step-down current enters the battery, it also passes through a protection circuit composed of a battery protection board. There is also an NTC thermistor supporting temperature detection on the motherboard.
The soft pack battery of the charging box comes from CEL Kinsale, model 801828, with a rated voltage of 3.7V and a rated capacity of 370mAh.
The current from the battery is boosted by the micro-source LP7801T to charge the earphones. The picture shows the gold-plated thimble for charging the earphones.

Three, JLab Go Air true wireless sports headphones headset disassembly
Next, we continue to disassemble the earphone part of JLab Go Air, which has an in-ear design and is compact.
There is JLab's brand logo on the shell, and this area supports touch control.

The charging contacts on the inside of the earphone have L/R left and right signs beside it.

Disassemble the earphone along the mold line, the internal layout is relatively simple, from the inside to the outside are the speaker unit, battery, motherboard and shell.

There are two thimbles on the outside of the main board to connect the Bluetooth antenna and the touch-sensitive FPC inside the casing respectively, and the left and right earphone main boards have the same layout.
The speaker-related circuit is connected to the motherboard through an FPC.
Disconnect the FPC to see the inside of the headset.
The speaker unit and the charging contacts are on a single FPC.
Use glue and hot melt to fix the charging contacts.

The speaker unit size is about 8mm consistent with the official specifications.
Finally, take a look at the circuit on the motherboard. The picture shows the size comparison of the motherboard and battery with a dollar coin.
The soft pack battery in the headset comes from VDL Chongqing Zijian, model 541112, with a rated voltage of 3.7V and a rated capacity of 43mAh/0.159Wh.

The plastic shell at the bottom of the earphone can not only prevent the LED indicator light from leaking, but also improve the airtightness of the call microphone.

In terms of scalability, it supports three LED drivers, touch IC control, analog and digital microphone input, and supports dual microphones. In terms of noise reduction, it supports noise reduction function and ambient sound monitoring mode. It can be said to be a high-performance all-round TWS true wireless Bluetooth headset integrated solution.
